Easter or April Fool

This coming Sunday is EASTER. We celebration the most remarkable event in human history. The Son of God rose from the dead after having died three days earlier for our sins. Over 500 people saw Him at the same time after His resurrection. All the Apostles, who knew Him best, attested to having seen Him and touched Him. Secular history affirms their story. After Jesus ascended into heaven, Stephen, the Martyr, saw Jesus standing at the right of the Father. Paul saw Him on the Damascus Road. The Apostle John saw a vision of Him while on the Isle of Patmos. Lastly those of us who have come to believe in Him and have been born again declare the presence of His Spirit in our lives.

Despite all the evidence which supports the Resurrection millions still refuse to believe. You do not need to be reminded that Sunday is coincidentally April Fool’s Day. A lot of foolish atheists have made much light of the fact that Fools Day is on Easter this year. That is their foolish mistake. The same Jesus who rose from the grave and ascended into heaven is coming again to judge the living and dead. Anyone who thinks himself too smart to believe in the resurrection is on a fool’s journey. Paul say in Romans 1:22, “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.”

The fact April Fool’s Day falls on Easter this year is a good opportunity to remember Christ has been, and continues to be, victorious over Satan. Easter is the day God made a fool out of Satan! Therefore, it is appropriate to remember that true wisdom is found in following Jesus. Following Satan in unbelief is for the foolish. 1 Corinthians 1:18, “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”

We pray that you know the Power of God to save you soul through faith in Jesus Christ. If you don’t know Jesus, come to Him today and receive His grace. Don’t continue your foolishness.
